Duration: half a day to one day
Equipment: Equipment included

Requirements:

  • Minimum age: 10 years
  • Basic swimming skills
  • Good general health

Description:

Your Basic Diver experience starts with a short theory session covering safety rules, the buddy system and the basics of scuba equipment. Then you move into confined water (pool or shallow reef), where you get comfortable with breathing, buoyancy, mask clearing and regulator recovery in a calm environment.

After that, you’ll join your instructor for one open water dive (up to 12 m). You explore the reef and its marine life while applying your new skills, always under close supervision. If you decide to continue, this experience can be credited towards your SSI Open Water Diver course.
