Description:

In this course you learn the theory behind nitrox diving without any mandatory training dives. In short, focused knowledge sessions you cover the basics of oxygen, nitrogen and partial pressure, how nitrox affects your no-decompression limits and what safety considerations apply.

Together with your instructor you practise analysing cylinders, recording the correct mix, labelling tanks properly and setting your dive computer to the right nitrox percentage. You also learn how to manage oxygen exposure safely and stay within recommended limits. After the course, you’ll be ready to use nitrox blends up to 40 % on your dives worldwide.

Course Structure

Knowledge sessions (theory only, no mandatory dives):

  • The science of nitrox: oxygen, nitrogen, and partial pressures
  • Analyzing cylinders and proper labeling
  • Setting your dive computer for nitrox mixes
  • Safety considerations: oxygen exposure and limits

**Practical workshop** – hands-on gas analysis and logging practice with your instructor
