Requirements:

  • Minimum certification: Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
  • Minimum age: 15 years
  • Comfortable buoyancy and reasonable air consumption recommended
  • Good general health and basic swimming ability

Description:

The course starts with a knowledge briefing that covers deep dive physiology, gas consumption, nitrogen narcosis, emergency procedures and equipment considerations. Over three open water dives on two days, you practise planning deep dives, checking gas and no-decompression limits, and making controlled descents and ascents with proper safety stops.

You will learn how depth affects your buoyancy, breathing and decision-making, how to recognise signs of narcosis and what to do if something does not go to plan. With your instructor you explore deeper parts of the reef or drop-offs, always staying within safe limits and using your dive computer correctly. After the course, you will feel much more at ease whenever the bottom goes beyond 18 meters.

**3 Open Water Dives over 2 days:**
  • Dive planning and gas management for depth
  • Controlled descents and ascents with proper safety stops
  • Recognizing and handling narcosis
  • Using computers and redundant equipment at depth
  • Exploring deeper reef areas or drop-offs with instructor supervision
